With the advent of spring upon us, so begins another season of girls lacrosse.
Coming off of an 11-2 season last year, the Bulldogs hope to again make the championship game where they unfortunately fell short to Rogers High School last year.
Some key players to watch this season on attack are seniors Kata Cummings, Lauren Dobson, and Hedy Goodman. I spoke to junior Molly Ridler who told me “They are all amazing players and we will rely on them to make sure we get the ball during the draws”.
She also mentioned junior Ashley Amato on attack, who was the 3rd leading player in goals last year.
On the defensive side, joining Ridler are seniors Macie Woycik, Olivia Charadio, freshman Rachel Dobson, and sophomore Melanie Gomes.
The Bulldogs are moving up to Division II this season, which should offer a new challenge for the team.
Ridler guessed the Dogs may go 9-3 this season, because they will be facing new teams that they haven’t played before.
The Bulldog’s first game is April 4th at Middletown at 5 PM. Their first home game is April 10th against Portsmouth (Varsity at 5 PM and JV at 6:30 PM).
