At WHS school events and dances, tickets are usually purchased during lunch for a price of 10-12 dollars and 12-15 the night of at the door. For the Winter Ball, hosted by the Sophomore Class of 2o21, some changes have been installed.

A student can buy a ticket for 12, not the average 10 dollars. Tickets were decided to not be sold at the door. Principal Mr. Hobin stated, “We need to know the dance list in advance to prevent problems at the door.” As for the set price, Mr. Hobin is unsure of the reasoning on whether or not this alteration would benefit the Class of 2021.

Purchasing tickets at the door has become an issue because ineligible students would be turned away and parents would have to return to the school to pick up their child if they’d not drive themselves.

We, as a student body, are unsure whether or not this policy will continue with next years dances.
